We had a great experience with our two bathroom remodels with Ihor's company. He is very professional so were all his crew and vendors. No one who worked on the project was reeking with weed smoke or alcohol which was very important for us considering we have young kids in the house and we were still using the upstairs rooms during the work was going on. It so happened that my husband had to travel to India at a day's notice due to a family emergency two week after the project started and I felt safe working with Ihor's team on my own. Every task planned during the duration of the project was executed on same date and also at the same time on a given day every time, which made it easy to manage the household tasks and kids activities. We also didn't hire a designer and I was well versed from experiences in previous jobs done at my home and Ihor was able to provide valuable recommendations and pros and cons for the fixtures and parts selected. We also liked that he thinks big and used epoxy grout on the tiles (high ended grout requiring nomaintenance over a decade) and also recommended great quality bidets which we hadn't thought about in the original plan. He has good process of using his experience from previous projects and his interactions with previous customers and their likes and dislikes into current ones which was pretty valuable. We planned the remodel after there was a leak in the master bath shower. Ihor was very transparent upfront about the process to fix (which I knew was correct from my interaction with other companies) and the ambiguities we could face as the extent of the leak couldn't be predicted without the demolition. He even got a structural engineer to make sure the fix was sturdy and met the codes. After the guest bath demo they found a return duct which was going nowhere and he got his vendor to fix that independently without affecting the originally planned design. Observing the efficiency of the remodel halfway in the master bath and his ways of going above and beyond to deliver results, I asked him if he could help replace the carpet with hardwood and plan the guest bath remodel in parallel as we could manage with one downstairs bathroom. He was very flexible in change of these plans and got an excellent vendor to install the hardwood floors who got the job done in 3 days of work. We went with prefinished oak floors and they were able to install without us having to move the larger furniture out or hiring any additional movers. I observed that any ambiguity faced during the remodel was fixed holistically and accurately which was a big plus. From my interaction with other crew members, I observed that Ihor treats them well and many of them own their own homes and were pretty content. Laying tiles was majority of the bathroom remodel and the person installed them was very experienced. We faced no friction working with them during the project and they were able to seamlessly deliver tasks based on exactly what I and Ihor discussed which left no room for back and forth interactions which saved my time. We had planned the original schedule to be 8 weeks and most of the tasks including the hardwood floors were done during that timeframe. However there was delay due to changing tile requirements and delay in ETA due to ordering them just before the 4th July long weekend which was managed well by Ihor and his team. We chose this company after interviewing 44 other big and small companies on Google, Yelp and Thumbtack and other friend's recommendations and would recommend this company to anyone planning kitchen, bath or additions due to the wonderful experience we had from start to finish.

We hired Maksymov Brownstown to do a heavy kitchen remodel earlier in 2025. We fielded multiple quotes from various groups, and honestly Ihor was the most honest and straight forward bid that we got. We engaged with his group in March of 2025, and started breaking ground around early September. Overall, every modification and renovation made by his group was fantastic. They were very fast, efficient, and incredibly clean. Before starting anything they would put up full enclosures to try and reduce as much debris as possible, and in any instances where dust/debris escaped the plastic barriers, Ihor brought in cleaning crews to try and keep our living areas as nice as possible through-out, which felt like extra attention and care during a really stressful transition for our family. Not only did the crew pay attention to every detail along the way, they helped us with all aspects of the design phase. They were helpful when we asked for it, but took creative input when we had it. We had numerous sessions with their designers, and landed on a design proposal that we were very happy with, and I’m stoked to say that the kitchen we got was nearly identical to the kitchen originally pitched in the design docs, which I feel is quite rare. We had a huge amount of creative control on what we wanted with our kitchen space (colors, tiles, patterns, stains, paint, all of it), and Ihors team was very patient and worked with us on each step of the way, designing exactly what we wanted to the best of their abilities. Our kitchen remodel had a rough timeline of being done before Thanksgiving (started Sept 1.), and they absolutely delivered. Ihor’s team passed the kitchen over to me in time to cook an absolute banger of a Thanksgiving dinner, and this kitchen exceeded every expectation I had for it. I’m beyond pleased with the end result. When I’ve been told about remodels I’ve always been told to double both the time and the estimate for a more realistic view of what the renovation is going to take to complete, however with Ihor and his crew the financial estimate was basically exactly what was quoted. We had a few small additions from our end, which caused the price to go up in expected ways, but I was truly impressed at how accurate the initial quotes were I’d recommend Maksymov Brownstone for any home remodel at this point, not just kitchen. We’re already investigating other remodel opportunities with this team, as they were so wonderful to work with. Their pricing is incredibly fair and beat out all the competitive offers we had, their time estimates are largely accurate, and Ihor is an absolute delight to work with. The craftsmanship is beyond comparison. Every crew that Ihor brought to our house delivered a top-notch level of quality, and I’m looking forward to future engagements with his team!

Agree with all prior reviews, Ihor and his team really are that great! We bought a home with a small very poorly designed kitchen and immediately wanted to renovate (take a look at the before photos). After interviewing a number of local contractors, we went with MB because of Ihor's transparent pricing, friendly and responsive communication, and clear pride in his work. We were able to visit two prior client homes and see his work first hand and hear their experience, which was very positive. The process went much better than we could have hoped! Despite changes increasing the project scope (including raising the ceiling height), the kitchen was finished within the promised timeline and the final result was incredible. Throughout the process, we were given nearly daily updates on progress and many opportunities to weigh in on decisions big and small. We worked with their designer who was friendly, highly experienced and invaluable in guiding our decisions; she met us multiple times at showrooms and created beautiful renderings to help us visualize the final project. We had a number of thoughtful additions to our kitchen, like the custom sized cabinet to hide our microwave (with countertop install inside). After buying our home we have hired many different contractors including landscaping, HVAC, sewer repair, and exterior painting. Our kitchen was by far the biggest project, but the only one I would leave a five star review for - Ihor is very talented contractor and manages his team extremely well to ensure quality work. One of the best parts of working with Ihor's team is how easy it is to get in touch for project updates, to discuss design or scope changes and receive timeline updates. After completion, there were a few minor adjustments needed (eg paint touch ups, lighting install) and Ihor has been very responsive to quickly address them to ensure a perfect end result. We are already planning a few more reno projects with MB, and look forward to enjoying our custom kitchen for many many years to come!

Ihor and his team remodeled my 3 bedroom/3 bath condo in East Queen Anne. The condo was a well preserved time-capsule of the mid-’80s. We did a full gut model - all new kitchen, bathrooms, lighting and flooring throughout. Ihor’s great pricing allowed me to add retiling a fireplace so that the entire place had a single, cohesive design. I am ecstatic about the end result and am forever grateful to Ihor and Maksymov Brownstone LLC for bringing the vision to life. Working in a condo can be challenging. Ihor and his crew were unfailingly courteous and personable. My nextdoor neighbor made a point to email me saying how polite they were. This was extremely important to hear as I wasn’t living in the building (or even the state) and had to completely rely on Ihor to abide by the condo’s rules about noise, working hours, etc. Ihor’s assistant, Anastasiia, was very helpful in identifying alternative selections for items that were discontinued. My spec book was done ~3 years before the project started as I’d moved away and had tenants in the space for a few years. This led to needing to identify alternatives for some items. Anastasiia prepared options for things that she couldn’t order, and, like everyone on Ihor’s team, she was very easy to work with during this process. Ihor and his crew did an amazing job on our remodel. They took the back 10 feet of our garage and converted into a beautiful bathroom with laundry and a heated floor. The tile is impeccable - we love how they made the shower tile flow directly into the bathroom floor. We also wanted a full length toiletry shelf in the shower, and Ihor found a piece of quartz that matched the wall tile perfectly. They had to engineer around a challenging drainpipe placement coming down from our upstairs bathroom and came up with a great solution. We added on changes at a few points - since flooring had to be ripped up to connect to the sewer, we decided to replace the old carpet and laminate for the entire bottom floor of the house and the stairs. We added a new back door with storm door and converted the old laundry closet into a pantry. And since we were running electrical, we added EV charging in the garage. At each step of “scope creep,” they were transparent and fair about pricing and were very patient as we juggled late decisions on our part. Ihor provided options to help us balance costs while still getting to the end result we wanted. All of the workers were clean and polite. We were worried about our cats getting into the construction area or outside, and they were very careful about keeping doors closed so that wouldn’t happen. In the end, we couldn’t be happier with the work, which was done at a fair price and a very high level of quality. If we have a future remodel, we will definitely work with Maksymov Brownstone again.

We’re so pleased with our completely remodeled kitchen and are glad we selected Ihor and his expert team during the bidding process. From the very beginning we could tell Ihor was the most operationally organized vs. others just through the way he communicated; he’s very structured. This is not a pushy company to work with - they will lay out options and will partner with you to execute on the vision you have for your home. They offer design and architectural services if you yourself don’t have a finalized design. It’s a full service shop. The price for the level of design, service, craftsmanship and detail you experience is well worth it. We went with custom cabinetry and are still in awe of how perfect everything has lined up. The invoicing process is clear, well-scheduled, and we didn’t have any surprise or phantom costs. Ihor will let you know if the material you chose will be an added cost and help you navigate choices. At the end of each work day the team did a fantastic job of cleaning up the work area so it wasn’t unbearable to look at or live in. The plumber on the team, Fernando, even came and solved a separate issue for us and Ihor’s team patched up the damage. A very professional outfit across every part of the team. If you are on the fence about working with this company, even if another company is luring you with a slightly lower price, I highly, highly recommend you choose Maksymov if you want it done without stress and for the best possible finished product.

Ihor and his team have done a great job on our condo remodel! The main elements of our project involved gutting two dated bathrooms and removing an old wood burning fireplace in our living room, and painting our whole condo. Before we hired Ihor's company we had a contractor who had signed on and cancelled on the project just a few months before it was to start. We fortunately found Ihor who was willing to take on our project and start on it in the same timeframe as we had originally planned. Also, Ihor's quote for our project was very competitive compared to some others we received. Ihor and his entire team are very professional, courteous, respectful and reliable. Ihor always makes himself available when you need to talk with him or want to meet in person to discuss aspects of the project. When there is an issue he makes sure to address it so that his customer is happy with the outcome. I can tell that this is important to him. He understands that his customers are putting in their savings into doing a remodel and so is empathetic to their needs. To me this was reassuring. The tile work in both our bathrooms has turned out great! We love our walk in showers and heated floors in both bathrooms. We also upgraded our electrical panel, installed some new lights and updated all our outlets to newer ones and the team did a good job with this. Finally the paint job turned out very well too. We live in a historic home in Upper Queen Anne, near Kerry Park, and matching the original exterior tile was no easy task. The tile was installed decades ago, probably 30 years ago, and the color and style are no longer available. After another contractor pressure washed the front of the house, a significant amount of the tile cracked, lifted, and broke loose. I was concerned it would never look the same again. Thankfully, I found this team, and they did an outstanding job. They carefully repaired the damaged areas, sourced tile that matched remarkably well, and blended everything so seamlessly that it's very difficult to tell any work was ever done. The result is as close to perfect as I could have hoped for. Beyond the quality of the workmanship, they were a pleasure to work with. They responded quickly, arrived when they said they would, completed the project exactly within the timeline they promised, and their pricing was fair. They even took the time to fix a couple of exterior electrical outlets so they could power their equipment, leaving things better than they found them. Overall, this was an excellent experience from start to finish. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for skilled, honest professionals who take pride in their work.

We used Maksymov Brownstone to handle our tile backsplash in our kitchen and after they did such an incredible, quality, professional job on time and on budget, we asked them to come back and build out our second bathroom. We already had plumbing and electric laid, but the job was still a massive undertaking. Again, they stayed on time and on budget, offering solutions to any timeline or construction issue that arose (and with any home project, they always arise!) Ihor was responsive and communicative, giving clear timelines for the work and progress. Their team were skilled and incredibly professional; they didn't mind our two cats occasionally popping by to inspect the work and always left the job site clean. The bathroom came out perfect, and even with a small issue afterward due to some recalled heating wires, they were quick to handle it and work with the company and their warranty policies to make sure we had what we paid for. This is an incredible company with fantastic, detailed talent. Pricing was fair and reasonable, and we felt on time and in control throughout the whole process. We hired Maksymov Brownstone LLC for a full remodel of our older house. It has been four months since we are living in the house, and we are pleased with the results. Ihor, the owner, was responsive and easy to work with throughout the process. This was our first time undertaking such a large project, and Ihor patiently explained the details to us. I hired "Maksymov Brownstone" for a complete apartment makeover. The first thing I noticed about Igor, is how responsive he was. He will respond to all my texts at any time and would go above and beyond to keep me happy. The end result is always thorough and beautiful and we get very clear pricing along the way. Our whole house remodel came out to be better than what we imagined. Ihor has great communication and can be reached at all times. This was a large project where we did a full gut down to studs, rewired the house, repiped the house, architecture design, removed walls, hardwood installation, staircase remodel, HVAC, bathroom remodel, and kitchen remodel. Ihor and team did the entire project. Although the price went over our planned budget, the results were well worth the cost and wait. Ihor and his team did an excellent job on our kitchen remodel including: countertops, cabinets, lighting, and backsplash. The communication was great and Ihor addressed any of our concerns quickly. He spent time early on helping us pick out everything we needed for our kitchen and made suggestions when we were unsure. Ihor and his team did the most incredible job tiling our 4 bathrooms during a whole home remodel. We chose expensive and difficult to work with materials (cement tiles, zellige, limestone, marbles, hand made glazed from Cle, Zia, Anne Sacks, etc) each with their own set of complexities and layouts and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Ihor clearly cares about quality, asks really detailed questions to make sure you get what you both want and are expecting, and is a great communicator. Would recommend anytime!

We hired Maksymov Brownstone to install new tile flooring with in floor heat in 2 bathrooms, the kitchen, hallways, and 2 great rooms. He also tiled 2 showers, a kitchen backsplash, and installed stack stone tile on our fireplace surround. His crew always showed up on time and exceeded our expectations on quality. They used a laser to line up all the tile throughout the house and the final product is truly amazing. I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future.

Maksymov Brownstone did such an amazing job on my condo master bathroom renovation. First of all, they hit every goal and timeline. They changed cabinets, lighting, tiled shower, and bathroom floors. We had a great experience with our living room remodel. We needed to remove a large built-in cabinet and fireplace; replacing it with a new fireplace, surround, shelves, and repairing the walls and flooring. Ihor and the team were very communicative, easy to work with, and they treated our time and home with respect. They stayed engaged even through the final finishing touches. Ihor and his team are fantastic. They were very prompt and professional, and the price was very competitive. They replaced my fireplace and retiled the hearth and face. My husband and I did a 'down to the studs' remodel on our home and Maksymov Brownstone performed all of the tile work on two baths, the living room fireplace and the kitchen. The master bath in particular was quite complex. Each room is beautiful and something we are proud to show off. The best thing about MB is their attention to detail -- I would even call it artistry. I recommend them without hesitation and would certainly use them again for another project.

I have used Maksymov Brownnstone for many tile projects large and small. They do impeccable work, with care and detail. I have used them for large format tile small custom handmade tiles and everything in between. As a remodel contractor they are my go to tile company for all my tile needs. Beside the amazing quality of work, they are clean, fast and they have always had great bid prices.

Great to work with. We hired them to help us finish our primary bath mid project and they were efficient and communicated well. They laid all our tile, finished trim work, installed cabinets and counters. Very happy with the level of service and plan on using them again in the future.

Ihor is a very conscientious contractor in terms of delivering quality work while adhering to the quoted schedule. As a whole, all the workers he brought in were courteous and cautious. In particular, the workmanship of the tile person and the carpenter were exceptional.
