South Lake Union, Seattle
The studio is where the deciding gets easier.

Choosing tile from a phone screen is how people end up with a bathroom they do not like.
Stone, tile, wood and metal look different in daylight, next to each other, at the size they will actually be. The studio exists so that the decisions get made once, in person, before anything is ordered or cut.
What a visit is for
-
01
Your rooms, drawn
Plans and elevations of your house, not a mood board. You see the real dimensions before you commit to anything.
-
02
Materials in hand
Full-size samples laid together under the same light, so a green tile and a walnut door get judged as a pair and not one at a time.
-
03
Cabinetry
The doors, the drawers and the hardware are ours. You can open them, which is the only honest way to tell a good drawer from a bad one.
-
04
The number, explained
What drives the cost in your particular project, and where the money is better spent somewhere else.
The company
Maksymov Brownstone renovates homes in Seattle and on the Eastside, run by Ihor Maksymov.
The studio in South Lake Union is the newest part of it: a place to sit down with the drawings rather than meeting on a dusty site or in a car. The crews, the cabinetmakers and the license are the same ones behind every project on this site.
